Frail and pink
To your wolfish mana
It is not me
You said one night
The Wendigo is the lusty one
I had believed you
With your smooth, bronzed skin
And your easy smile
Assured you were more human
Because you looked that way
But underneath a civil guise
Eyes dark and smoldering
Is the beast
You have embraced
And lain with
And grown to love
The taste of flesh with
It is you

I wanted to write a poem about a werewolf/werecreature, so I did.
Funny story: in my poetry workshop one of my friends (Rin) wrote a poem for the same week as this one that was about a guy looking in the mirror and seeing the beast inside himself. We wrote them seperately with no communication about the poems between us. His poem had the character saying, "It is not me." I read my poem after his and it was like the perfect rebuttal. o_O
