Literature Text

I listen behind closed eyes
As you dream out loud
In mumbles and sighs
That quiver and spill
Over your pillow’s brim

They slide down the side
Leaving gossamer trails
To glimmer in dim light
And pool in the cover folds
Until I am an island

Whispers brush my skin
Too soft to be heard
And I am lulled to sleep
In this intimate moment
As your dreams lap at my shore
A surreal experience that took place while the narrator watched his lover sleep. Title is the name of my muse (though not my lover, heh), used with her permission of course. ^_^

"Until I am and island" -Typo

I think it might sound better if the final line were "Dreams lapping at my shore." That gives it the unsaid "your" and shortens the line to fit better with those previous. It also implies that the action is occurring right now, in the active and not the passive, making for a stronger ending.
